Welcome to my ePortfolio!
This past school year brought on a new challenge for me and an entire paradigm shift in my teaching when I taught Spanish 1 part-time for Virtual High School. I never thought I would have any interest in teaching online. However, over the course of the year, I have become very excited about the potential and possibilities that online teaching/learning presents along with being made aware of some of the difficulties. Having recently been hired to teach Spanish full-time for Virtual High School, I am dedicated to continually working to improving primarily online, but also blended learning, for students. Students are so different, face many various life challenges and thus have very different needs when it comes to their education. Complete online learning works very well for some students. For some who perhaps lack some of the self-motivation that online courses present, they might do better in a more blended approach. All students, however, can benefit from the integration of technology and using those tools to help them become 21st Century Learners. **any student pictures that are identifiable are used with parent permission |
